Singlespeeding seems to be disagreeing with my less than perfect lower back ๐ So is there a cost effective way to bodge any gears onto a pompino or is it cheaper to just give up and get a geared cross frame.
It's 120mm back end. Shame coz I like it.

full length cable + one of these of the back. You'll need to bodge the shifter on if you don;t switch to sti's too. - Minoura do a bar extension thing that might allow it or maybe a bar end shifter?
You can get bolt on cable stops for the front from SJS etc if you want more than one chain ring.

derailleur wont work.
sturmey do some 120mm hub gears, in 3/ 5/ 8 speed.
no knowledge on the subject, but ill chirp up anyway.
Hub gear?
*makes note to read the whole post next time*
Having said that, it's steel - just spring it apart a bit to get 'proper' hub in there ๐
Does anyone do sturmey hubs ready built in 700c rims? Might be worth a go depening on price
You could try one of these?? http://road.cc/content/review/33373-sturmey-archer-s2-kickshift-hub
With the weight and cost I'm thinking a geared frame might make more sense
What size is that frame...you know...just out of interest...
just what i was thinking flange, ive spent several years hovering over the buy button for a blue pompino
It's a medium, I'm 5'8"
