Last July I fulfilled a long standing dream of mine and cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats!

While our 2 week ride time won't be winning any records, we had a fantastic journey that we'll remember for a very long time to come. So if you've ever thought about doing it, all I can say is DO IT!!! You won't regret it.

Things I learnt on the way:

- Don't bother cutting your toothbrush in half. Makes f-all difference and just gives you hand cramp.

- Good shorts are really, really important. I used Sugoi RS which were the shizzle.

- Scotland is very nice. Widnes less so.

- Ride with people who you get on with.

- You'll get to see lots of rare british animals such as red squirrels, moles, hedgehogs, badgers and barn owls. Unfortunately, they'll all be dead.

Think you are the only person in the UK who thinks badgers are rare!
