Just got one little question I'm hoping someone can help me out on, when you bleed the caliper by squeezing the bottle then releasing it to draw air from the caliper do you need to do close off the lever? Otherwise it seems to me that you would just be pushing fluid through the system then drawing air back in when releasing it?

close it off at the caliper after pushing the fluid through.. leave the system open at the lever end for as long as possible. make sure the cable lever etc is flowing upwards bottom to top, for air bubbles to escape.

I meant the bit it says to do before, where you use the bottle to squeeze fluid into the caliper, then release to draw air out. Does this not draw air in from the lever end?
