I'm thinking about getting a Unicrown fork for my Merlin.

Does anyone have experience running one of these ?. As i understand it, you can specify how the fork handles. I'm interested in how they flex especially compared to something like an On One carbon fork which is what i'm running now.

bump

kinda fancied one myself but after seeing one in the flesh was a little disappointed with the limited positioning of the qr with it

I wonder if that's dependent on the qr you use ?. Other photos online would suggest it'll sit perpendicular to the fork, which doesn't look so bad. [url= http://www.flickr.com/photos/bikecentric/72073356/ ]like this[/url]

James at Black Sheep will build to what ever spec you want.

If you don't like the dropout in that picture ask him for something else.

Be prepared to wait a long time for him though. Think double the timescale he'll tell you before you lay down the $ for it.

Have a look at Steve Potts website for some lovely rigid forks in Ti or steel.
