The Bird Forge looks really nice, has anyone got one and what size did you go for, I’m a few mm under 6ft and thinking the M/L and it’s reach is 3mm shorter than my sentinel.
Any feedback on the bike would be ace.

Thanks, I read that but looking for some more recent info, I’d expect a few on here have had a nice summer with their Forge, or had a mate with one.

I’ve got one in M/L format.

What would you like to know? 🙂

How tall are you and how are you getting on with it, how is the paint wearing, how it climbs and descends? That sort of thing.

5’9” ish - short of leg / long of back shaped. My 5 year old Bird Aeris is a Medium, this feels a good bit longer but a better fit for me.

Climbs great, descends even better - it’s wholly capable. Replaced a 11 y/o MkII Coptic Soul and it’s a much better bike all round (as it ought to be given the age difference).

Paint’s holding up well, it’s a really nice finish.

I’m very happy with it - if it got nicked tonight I’d buy another tomorrow.

Thanks Jamesmio.
I popped up to Bird HQ today and sat on a large, even with the seat slammed forward it was too big so I’m going M/L, I was quite taken with the black, it looks a little cheap in the pics imho, but a right weapon in the flesh, the bike was the press bike from Mtbr so I assume it’s had a life already, so far Bird have been really helpful and I have a little warm feeling about the Forge.

Pretty sure that was the bike they had on their stand at Tweedlove. It does look sweeeeet in black.

I’m the end I ordered the Tuscan teal, the black looked ace but matte black can look beat up pretty quickly, I’ve been gathering bits for a while so I should be able to buooitnwhen the frame arrives.

Can anyone tell me how thick the rear brake mount is? I’ll need some mount bolts.
