I know thw carpet needs feeding and weeding and the wallpaper needs a trim.

Liking your trompe l'oeil wallpaper there. Almost looks like the sofa has been dumped in the countryside.

Stem length is fine; It's just been fitted back to front.

Almost looks like the sofa has been dumped in the countryside.
You should see how long the extension lead is for the TV.
Nothing wrong with a 50mm stem if you've got a bike that fits.
