I'm moving house soon & will need somewhere to keep the bikes outside.
Anyone got any experience of Asgard bike sheds?
What are the best locks available these days? Still Kryptonite or are there other brands to look at?
Cheers
Dave
Search the forum for Asgard, there're loads of threads about them.
Will do
Kryptonite FAR from best in any situation. Look up Pragamsis locks and chains and Allmax if you are in any way serious about security.
I like to lock the bikes together with both chains and d-locks , but maybe just to put my mind at rest.
Guess most can be got through but will slow them down a bit.
But those chains above look very good
Asgard sheds are the dogs danglies. I have my bikes locked inside one, then locked together with Abus Granit Gold rated d locks. The whole lot is actually kept inside my garage. ...which has an alarm. And a nest cam. Not that I'm paranoid or anything. I actually live in a reasonably nice area, but I'd rather the spend the money on good security than risk some scumbag flogging my pride and joys down the pub for a packet of fags and some Tennents Super Strength.
Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I'd heard of Allmax before but couldn't remember enough to find them again?? Pretty much decided on an Asgard shed anyway, & will look up Pragamsis too
You really can't go wrong with the Asgard sheds, I have the 29er one, struggle to fit anything more than 2 29ers in there without turning bars etc. but that's not really an issue when you take in to consideration how secure they are.
Most important thing is to make sure the base is level as the lid won't close properly.
I have a pragmasis set up, and can vouch for the company and their service. The installation of, in my case a resin ground anchor, along with the chain was very straightforward. Chain is a beast. All in all a great service and very knowledgeable company. They have some great youtube videos too.
