I'm visiting family in the Portsmouth area and I was thinking of renting a bike and riding at QE2 park one of the days I'm there. Is there anywhere in the area to get a rental or a demo?

The Evans page seems to suggest not, but I can try giving them a call when I get to the UK. Could certainly try and e-bike, although I'm not sure I'm ready to join a 'mob' yet. 😉

Gabriel Cycles in Widley just over the top of the hill from Cosham do demo bikes
Just spoke to my mate at Gabriel Cycles and he says you can demo their DMR Sled or their Occam for the day for £50
