Eagerly awaiting delivery of my new Propain E bike!!

Apparently my household insurance wont cover it because it’s worth more than £5K

Does anyone have any recommendation for dedicated bike insurance?

I use Pedalcover (Podium), not had to claim from them but the premium seems reasonable (although I have buildings & contents with them not just cycle cover). A couple of times I've queried T&Cs they've responded quickly. Adding bikes doesn't seem to increase the premium either which was a nice surprise...

I might regret this 😉but I moved from pedalcover was adding 70 a year and now this year's premium £700. (Was originally under 400.)

So try Sheila's Wheels. all my bikes, house and contents for £380 including specified items of £27,000. 6 bikes and jewellery.

I've topped up all the bells and whistles otherwise it would have been 280.

I hate moving around - good services and cover is more important but eventually you are just forced to find something with better value.

AA here after M&S stopped doing cover. It’s not cheap but covers expensive bikes without stupid requirements to carry a 3kg lock on a 7kg bike.

Is the AA insurance part of house/contents? Or a separate policy?

AA here as well after M & S decided there wasn't any profit to be made and Aviva decided on a £5K max for a bike , £500 short for my Orbea Rise .

On the insurance subject , according to Martin Lewis car and house insurance has come down in price. Not according to Aviva . Our car insurance has gone from £295 to £471 from January, phoned them up to find out why when comparisons show under £300 .

Basically after blaming uninsured drivers etc etc the answer was that's the price taken it or leave it no attempt to look at the quote to keep a customer, oh well adiós, along with our house insurance that's around £700 worth of business they've turned away .

^this. And they were surprisingly good value.

I just changed to them from Aviva who also have good bike cover, but we were only covering one £3k per bike ebike and manual bike.
