We are planning next years summer holiday.
Rough thoughts are ferry to Bilbao. maybe 7 days there for a bit of biking and a bit of sightseeing and then road trip back through France to get home.
We're looking for recommendations for accommodation in/near Bilbao with secure car and bike parking.
Anyone got any thoughts??!!

In my experience provision varies from a garage with the owners motorbikes in to a purpose built space with racks and e bike charging but you know that your bikes are going to be secure and not seen as an issue.
Bizarrely I’m sat in Bilbao airport having just spent a couple of nights in Hotel Seminario Bilbao.
Basic but clean. Claimed to be bike friendly with a a bike room and folk were certainly wheeling bikes in and out - but I was here for a conference and didn’t actually see the bike room myself.
There was car parking but just a big car park really - depends if you mean behind security for “secure car parking”.

I stayed at the Hotel Gran Bilbao.
We were at the end of a bikepacking trip. Filthy dirty and smelly and had a ferry the next day so booked a hotel after two weeks of camping.
I didn’t know when I booked but it was a proper hotel, the kind of place grown ups and clean people stay.
it cost us about 45 euros each and had a locked bike store in the underground car park. They were helpful and it was all fine. Bilbao is cool.
