Why is it you think you'll start with something simple, like - i know replace the BB, Cassette, and chain ring to then find the following;

I ordered the wrong chain ring (32 and not 34) see classifieds ๐Ÿ™‚

Cassette doesn't have spider so i will now ruin the freehub

Freehub, dubious life left on bearings

Pivot bearing siezed near bottom bracket on the hustler ๐Ÿ™

Bike in bits and i'm going to cry because biking is expensive... have mercy oh great one...

So who has some bearings that will fit a hustler?

edited for shoddy spelling and gram...

I do miss his 'post office workers are trying to melt my brains with their laser guided bar code scanners' ways.

Just to update

In a cruel twist of fate, the hustler is now dead.. Frame snapage occured in a "Just riding along" moment.. do i think the two are connected, nah not really just a number of years of good use, bloody expensive though... ๐Ÿ™

At least you've got some nice new bits to go on the replacement.

lol, yes two new bearings, and a rapidly outgoing 8 speed drive chain.. The Gspot's 66's have also developed some rather nasty knocking as well..

I'd probably take it out and shoot it and then treat myself to an 'all new everything' bike.

this is my plan A, though the missus has other idea's. I may revert back to a hardtal for the time being (simple swap), then flog what i have for all of about 5 quid and by the "all rounder" - i do like Nicolai's
