Hatchback owners, can a detachable towbar be fitted to 2017+ vRS'? If so, does any bodywork need to be cut and what is rear access like with a tilting rack?
Best to look at the Witter site and it'll show you the options.
FWIW the cheapest ones are fixed, but whatever you do, with modern cars don't be tempted to try and bodge.
Check on your VIN if there is a tow rating. I know my sister's Octavia (not the vRS) didn't have one so she had to swap to a different Octavia - nothing physically different just the VIN plate rating
Mine had the rear bumper subframe removed to fit the official Skoda detachable towbar fitted, I've got it in the garage if I ever decide to remove it.
I think you may have to cut a hole in the valance of the bumper to get the swan neck through.
I had a fixed ball on my vrs estate and used a Buzzrack E-Scorpion rack. Lots of room when it was tilted back.
