Currently running 2.1 Nobby Nics, which generally suit my riding, but would like a bit more tyre volume,to smooth out my hardtail.
Suggestions?

Will 2.25 Nics fit 717s or should I look at other 2.1s that come up a bit bigger?

Will at some point be doing a ghetto tubeless conversion,so tyres that work well tubeless would be good too.

running 2.25's on XC717's with no problems for the past couple of years, going to try tubeless set up using same tyres in the next couple of weeks so be interesting to see how they cope

Maxxis ADvantage 2.25 worked perfectly ghetto tubeless on my 717s, and now on my 819s.

Not fantastic in slippy mud, but as an all-rounder they're great.

Combined one on the front with a Conti Slash on the back last winter, brilliant fun all round!

If you can still get them the Intense CC2.25 fit your requirements

I'm running schwalbe fat alberts (2.35) on XM321 on my hardtail and loving them.

Apart from the fact the rear punctured all on it's on whilst on the bike, leant up against the wall in my room. Very bizarre.

Wouldn't that just end up being the same as using a 2.25? - ultimately it's 0.15" = <4mm so probably won't make a super massive different.
Don't you want skinnies for winter anyway to slice through mud?
