A couple of weeks ago i was building up a new bike with forks from merlin. Built up in a dark house, when i took the bike outside the stanchions had weird marks on, contrary to to what some thought these were not scratches done by me, more marks under the anodising (on the inside and outside of the stanchion) - could see but not feel!
Sent back to merlin last Thursday and forwarded on to Fishers this Monday, back with me today with a new CSU and this has been uprated to an XX crown!
All in a HUGELY positive experience wit Merlin and Fishers - thanks a lot!
New bike is ready to roll for its inaugural ride on Sunday - happy days

I had a similar probem with my rockshox rebas where i think they cam out of thr factory originally with no oil. living so far away from Merlin i asked them if i could send direct, they couldnt do this so i contacted fishers sram tech centre and sorted it directly myself directly speeding up the process eve more so....
I sent them one day they must have recieved them tthe following fixed them and sent them bk out the same dasy as i got them bk the following day. great service
