Is it just me who reads that the thread headline as meaning a big haul of stolen bikes has been recovered?
I do assume OP means this story?
Both vans had tracking devices on them. The tracking company located one of the vans on Newham Way, Newham, London. The Police managed to locate the vehicle but have now since lost it. The other van has not been located at all.
Great work the tracking company and the police. Good job...no really.
Badly, or cleverly, placed as under the story for Dorset Van rentals.
How the hell did the police find and lose one of the vans?! Doesn't make sense to me.
I watched one of those 'Traffic Cops' style shows a few years back where they showed how the car tracker system works.
The police use a special device which looks very hit and miss and is nowhere near as accurate as GPS tracking.
Plus, it was only a lorryload of bikes. Hardly a priority when they're got speeding tickets to give out and offensive Tweeters to crack down on. *sarcasm*
