Has anyone used a big betty as a front tyre? I need something quicker than my 2.6 magic mary now it's summer and fir various reasons by riding has changed. I also already have one and don't want to buy anything if I don't have to.
You're not limiting yourself to matching tyre brands are you?.
2.6 butcher blkdmnd is pretty good for me in drier times, 2.6 Mary for the other 11 months.
The tread pattern is v similar to the DHR2 and that works well up front.
I saw Ben Cathro tried this on his downhill bike last year via IG stories, I messaged him and he said it worked "mint" front or rear. I picked up a pair to try it this summer, but broke my hand this week so cant now...
As CGG says many riders used the DHR2 front and rear for years,Bernard Kerr used it in Leogang last week front and rear.
