just bought some talkytoaster maps for my garmin 810, specifically for creating offroad routes in basecamp and then following, and maybe its just the luck of the draw being down in the far west of cornwall but am a but surprised how inaccurate they are with many public rights of way i know locally not on them.

can anyone tell me if there is a better, more OS accurate, mapping system available or is it a case of biting the bullet and spending 60quid or so on garmin discoverer?

If you know what's missing from the OSM maps then contribute your changes and they'll eventually be reflected on Talkytoaster too.

Worth looking at OpenFietsMap Lite (3rd option down here )

Around here (N Wales) it has many more off-road trails and paths than most OSM based offerings.

As per scotroutes, it's really easy to add missing tracks or make corrections to OSM. Helps everyone out ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought that was the point of osm? The more it gets corrected by users the more accurate it is.
