[Closed] Best way to see whether an energy gel is OK for your stomach?

Just thinking, i've got a handful of powerbar energy gels which i got given the other day. I'll just use them if i've ran out of food and reserves when i'm out on a long ride.

What's the best way to check whether they're OK for your stomach? I don't fancy being out on a ride and having a bottom explosion.

Trying them? It's just an energy gel, not some sort of exotic raw starfish dish prepared by an idiot.

Most of it is probably just liquid haribo anyway.

I believe the phrase is "suck it and see"

Individual ones never cause me a problem. However, having a handful during a race when you feel a bit sick anyway is when it really matters. Eating one will cause no trouble at all, although it might taste nasty.

lol, i may suck one down tomorrow morning. If i get out for a ride before, then that'll be a bonus.

Maybe take a generous supply of 'swipe' with you if you're away from civilisation.

Get your bike. Go for a ride. Try a gel. It's not rocket science.
