My pads ran down whilst on a ride and i stuck in some spare EBC m4 pads. Is it me or are these thicker than others pads? Despite the pistons being shoved right in, the pads still are catching. Any recommendations on others pad manufacturers that are a bit cheaper?

Cheers
Rich

Hope sintered last and work really well in the winter as TJ says. Fitted some Superstar Kevlar pads for two weeks in the alps in the summer and was very impressed with those so am now trying the sintered version but I've only had them fitted for one ride so far.

Agree with Hope Sintered ...and buy in Batch. I have found "freak" conditions at swinley last year (constant wet sand) for the whole ride to kill whatever pads i chose(even well bedded in ones), however in "normal" use sintered Hope last a long while. I dont think it a good idea to buy "cheapo" pads....!!! They can xxx!!!!! your ride...

Fibrax sintered off thevwmark on The Bay, buy four at a time and a couple of pins and clips off CRC or LBS that stocks Hope.

I put EBC pads in a pair of M4's early on this year and you are right they are thicker,

As others have said stick to the HOPE ones and again as its winter sintered !

I use superstar kevlar on my m4's not many problems here unless its wet and gritty! out of those conditions they last a good long while for me.
