Going to order some of those tyrres from On One. a folding tyre new for a tenner seems a good bet to me. Whats the best one the Michs or the Contis? Not having used either some info would be cool.

Pick the type and size you think looks most suitable for the riding you do, I bought some speedkings that are OK, but then I am a tyre swapper so these are just for when it gets a bit dryer...

I got the speed kings with free delivery. I like them, not the best in muddy conditions but pretty good all round which is good as I only take the tyre off when it has a puncture!

depends whot riding do you do!

Already had some mtn kings which seemed ok in the little time before it got too wet (around corners) for them, so got some speed kings for the (dry) summer.

Bargainous.

Lot of differing opinions on Mountain Kings here, personally think the black chilli version is good when it's dry, just stay away from wet rocks...
Found the Speed King a fine all-rounder, might go for a pair off on-1 at those prices, ta for the heads-up ๐Ÿ™‚

I went with some of the Speed Kings as well. I'm using the Supersonic version on one of my bikes and like them.

I did consider the mountain kings but the mixed feedback on here put me off a bit.

No one rating the Mich XCs then on there? I have not had the best of time with Michelin tyres in the past. Mainly them spliting. The only tyres that I have done that with in 20 years of riding. Might have been a bad set though! Guess its the Conti speed kings then. They seem like they might suit my puddle dodging style.

I tend to rule out Michelin tyres as the ones I've had in the past haven't been all that good.

Me too. Same feeling of insecurity I got with certain Bontrager and Tiogas. No idea why ๐Ÿ˜

had the speed kings and now got the michelin tyres.

Prefer the michelins as they feel more secure gripwise in the wet and lets be honest its alwasy wet in this country, don't fool yourself by buying tyres for those two days of dusty trails. They do drag on road but mine is quite low pressure.

Speed kings okay if going fast over wet rock but any hesitation will be punished by a front wheel slide. They do live up to their name of speed kings though (mainly as there is no grip)

Here is where I asked about the michelins
