On the HT, for Winter racing but not a mud specific tyre, a comfy volume and able to be used as an alrounder outside of winter. And not a Mud X.

Really? I thought they (rons)were a "dry" tyre. I have a 2.4 snakeskin in the shed - could go on the front?
How is it in mud & wet roots?

I wouldn't run a matched pair, so fast and rolling on the back mated to something with grip on the front.

I did use my Ron at the dry Bonty this year, it messed up my rebound - it is big - but I haven't used it in the wet.
I have the Ron, some Nics and Ralphs plus Bonty Mud X and Trailrakers in the shed. I discounting the latter two but perhaps a Ron and worn-centre Nic combo?
