After a day of pretending I could do massive gap jumps I've ended up popping my saddle off its rail on one side.
Several hours of swearing in the man cave and a selection of persuasion bars, I've been unable to pop the rail back into the rear of the saddle.
How the hell do they make them in the first place.
All I seem to have done is bend the bloody thing, so now I need a new saddle.
Is there a technique I'm missing for the next time I do this ?

Best way is to clamp the rail in the seatpost. But IME once it's out, it's screwed- you might get it back in but it'll do it again

Remove saddle from seatpost, insert saddle into bin, buy and fit new saddle.
