I'm after a new BB tool as the one I have marks cups and only does the older style HT2 (and hope 24mm etc) designs. Can anyone recommend a socket type one that will fit old HT2 and the newer shimano 24mm spline design? There are three Shimano BB sizes, in decreasing size: the original, XT and XTR. The XTR BB used to come with a plastic adaptor for the standard BB tool so you could use that, don't know if they still do.
TBH that doc just adds to the confusion :D.
Its an MT800 XT on one bike and hope 24mm on the other. I think that means a shimano Shimano TL-FC25 might convert from one to the other meaning I only need one tool.
