Recently used this tool. A "RockShox-Barb-Connector-Reverb-Stealth" and I wish I had known about it years ago. Silicone plumber greasing the new and old cable to help it slide through the very tight frame ports and the outer protective cable sheaths.
Cheap £3 and game changing IMO. I hope it helps someone who is facing the challenge of routing rear brake cables. So tiny it allows the cables to bend as much as you would want them to.
For clarity I have the magnetic threaded wire too- but this gets caught up.
The previous with it's two reverse threads makes a seamless long cable you can thread a dummy cable through one way out attached to old and then separate before threading the new brake cable through attached to the dummy. This is a known thing to do if you google enough. You might however have greater Google powers than me and came across this quickly in your search for a solution. I however have tried hoovers and cotton, magnetic barbs on a wire and very long tandem gear cable inners. Go on, get one, it's worth half a pint (depending on location )
Hope this helps any frustrated DIYers out there.
There are quite a few copies of these on Ali express also 👍
Doesn't play well with magura as the hose diameter is too large ⭕
Sorry if I was not clear enough with the words and I realise a quick look at pictures comes to the same conclusion. The top item is fab and much improved solution over the generic bottom picture, which indeed is copied everywhere.
it's Magura I installed from Shimano. I found both to be 5mm external.
I'm taking about the rockshox barb
I just found this on AliExpress:
£0.88 | Bicycle Internal Cable Routing Tool with Hydraulic Hose Repair Adapter for Brake and Shift Systems

Apologies, that makes sense. I see by your forum name this is your bread and butter.
I've found the generic amazon kits to work well tbh, but I guess if you want to use the original hydraulic hose to pull a new one through, the double barbed connector - RS or otherwise - would be the badger. I guess it would streamline the process if you're replacing hydraulic hoses rather than simply cabling up a new frame.
But I don't think that makes the routing kits inferior, just a good tool for a slightly different job maybe? Like I said, I've found the cheapo one I got from amazon a couple of years back invaluable.
