Picked up an avid 5 is front brake and fitted to PM fox fork
clearances etc all seem good
any reason why i cant run with this .... eg will i die first trip out??
...if its got the right adapter it should be fine.
I see dead people, so can't be sure whether it's already claimed you or not 🙁
however, all the avids I've seen have separate caliper and adaptor. The caliper always attaches to the mount as if it was a post-mount fork. If yer fork is PM, you won't need an adaptor at all unless you want bigger discs

removed the adaptor and bolted straight on
seems ok to use, fingers crossed eh !!!
make sure you still use both sets of conical washers, they are part of the caliper mounting (not part of the adaptor)

only diff is really where the hose exits and was just a bit worried re clearance as it seems to work fine
