When bleeding these (process is easy before anyone spouts some vitriol about bleeding avids) i can hear a hiss at the lever end near the pivot - does this sound right or like a dodgy piston seal?

The Elixirs on my new Stumpy needed bleeding when I got them.
I seem to remember one of them doing this hissy noise and I was a bit concerned, but it worked ok and has been fine since.

bled my elixirs last night and noticed the same hiss, all seems fine, they work a treat, i wondered if its the rubber expanding and contracting in the lever.

Noticed the same when bleeding mine.
All seemed fine when the bleed was done and, thus far, they're doing a sterling job of slowing my 16 stone bulk - and they're fitted with SS pads 😀

Yep my CR`s do it and so do the girlfriends, the Juicy 7's on my other bike do it sometimes too.
