I've just bust the tiny E circlip thing that goes over the end of the pin that holds the pads in the caliper. Does anyone know where I can get spares from or know of a work-around bodge?

i lost mine ages ago, shouldn't worry about it, it's just an overkill "don't sue us" design

Cheers amt27. I suspected it might be a belt 'n' braces design feature.

This came up a while ago...some people said it can come loose, others not. Suggestions were variously threadlock; twisted wire; buy genuine avid pads or caliper seal kit; or get some more eclips from a DIY source.

I broke mine last year and no problems to report, although it's worth checking periodically.
