Hello Folks,
Mrs MM and I (and Ted the Border Terrier) will be staying on your hallowed turf for a few days in August 16th-20th.
Would anyone be free, willing, able, to show a fat lad on a hardtail some of the local fun?
Cheers
Chris

Might be best to request nearer the time. I may be able to assist, but only really know what I'm doing a few days before.

Evenings are good - Weds night already in the diary!

Bedds

quite quick
not usually a phrase that applies to me ๐Ÿ™‚ - i'd best get out and get some riding in because
always a laugh
might be at me, collapsed at the side of the trail!

Rickos - cheers - I'll be in touch / bring this thread back up again nearer the time ๐Ÿ™‚

Evening all!
Cheers again for the offers!

Bedds - despite seeing this in your profile, I will drop you a line...
'biking, running, triathlon' ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

mine would read
biking (not often enough) and biathlon (eating and sleeping version)!
I fear for my life... ๐Ÿ˜‰

mboy - i'll drop you a line as well.

Hello folks - just bumping this one up before heading south ๐Ÿ˜‰
Seems I have a pass out for Weds and Thurs evening ๐Ÿ™‚
Many thanks to Bedds for his offer to join a regular Weds ride, and for getting himself a pass out for Thursday as well! Hopefully I'll get to meet with one or two other STW'ers as well, speaking of which, mboy - we're staying just outside Cinderford so (i guess, I've not confirmed yet with Bedds) will be riding from there if you're around?
Chris

Hello Mrs MM here

Yup - he does indeed have a pass out ๐Ÿ™‚ but what he has forgotten to mention :roll:is that I also want to use our holiday to get out on my mountain bike as well. I am not overly fit and have very little technical ability but want to change that. So if anyone has some suggestions for any routes in the area that might give me chance to give stuff a go please shout up - that'd be great. I've been going out and doing 6 to 9 miles but it's been on road or canal towpath with a bit of uphill on account of the fact that nothing is flat around Marsden!

Oh yes - I still have a nice line in black eyes after coming off my Brompton on the way home from work and using my head as a brake but don't worry, that hasn't put me off :D.

cheers - Sharon

Hello - Ted (the Border Terrier here)

I don't have a mountain bike and I'm too young / not well enough trained to go out with them yet so I'll be staying at the cottage and playing with my toys whilst they are out getting muddy. I'll make a fuss of them when they get back knackered and then insist they take me out for a walk ๐Ÿ˜€

woof, woof!!
