So, placed an order over a month ago, at the time delivery would be about a week, no problem not in a rush and I know it comes from somewhere in the EU. Week later get an email saying order delayed, ok. 3 weeks later nothing. It's now over 4 weeks. I've emailed 3 times asking for a refund and I'm getting no replies. Any other options? Paid by debit card.

I know that this not great advice in hindsight, but I would always recommend only using a CC for internet purchases if you possibly can - you'll get some nice benefits on more expensive purchases and, when there's a dispute, it's not your money being disputed - it's the CC company's. I always like this.

Same story here, took me around 3 weeks to get a refund after they promised something they (or rather their supplier) didn't have in stock. Won't touch with a bargepole. Keep at them, they did mine eventually...
Ah, chargeback, didn't know about that. Just been onto my bank and they're sorting it out for me straight away! It's only a small amount but still feel like I've been robbed. Thanks all, and yes one to avoid - in case anyone else searches for the name on here.
Read the reviews about the place before ordering something but decided to chance it but used a credit card. Same story as yours, delay, delay then another delay. Requested refund and was told it would take up to 10 days. Refund hadn't turned up in that time so emailed them an told them that unless I had the money by the next day I would get the credit card company involved. Money then got sorted. They are useless.
I do wonder if they actually sell anything. I bet you could make some decent money on interest from holding other people money for as long as possible.
same. they cancelled an order, but neglected to refund. i only realised when i looked through my cc statement over a month later. when i contacted them the cheeky see you next tuesdays offered me an alternative. i must check that i've actually had my money back. which i will do now.
funnily enough the first time i tried to buy something my cc company refused the transaction. the second time visa refused it. they must know all about them.
I have actually purchased and received goods from them in the past, however more recent purchase went down the same route but getting the refund sorted was painless.
Same story here, ordered a cassette, never turned up. They said their depot in UK sent it to the wrong address, then they wouldn’t refund until the cassette was returned, took weeks! Eventually got a refund nearly 2 months later after all sorts of threats. Do not go near them, they seem to have a call centre manned by many people who are having a competition to see who can come up with the best excuse. I hardly ever spoke to the same person twice. I doubt if they ever had the cassette in the first place.
Bought and received some clothes about 6 weeks ago so they do still stock some stuff.
i ordered 2 tyres from them, one turned up quickly and the other never did. i finally got an email saying it was out of stock and on order. found the best way to get a refund was to email them (phone was useless) via replying to the out of stock emails AND the contact me email address/pop up on the website with the order number. took a few days but when they cancelled the order the refund was quite quick, to debit card too
still won't be buying anything from them ever again!

I ordered a direto trainer from them in october. It went out of stock and they said end of nov. They then said Feb. Then they said mid nov. Then March. In the end they said they were refunding me. Then I get a email saying that they've dispatched. I call them, they say it's a mistake. Then I get a text from DPD saying they've delivered to halfords (i ordered it to collect there). Then DPD tell me that halfords rejected it and the package only weighed 400gs. The DPD redeliver it to halfords the next day again, I pick it up, it's the trainer.
Put it this way. I won't order from them again!
Oh bugger 😒 two emails delaying delivery so far, looks like I may have to cancel the order then.

I've been waiting for two months for a cassette from them (that showed one week delivery when ordered). They have been responsive when I've contacted them but have been laying the blame on the supplier. Currently promising it'll be shipped today but I'm not holding my breath. Annoyingly they shipped the chain a while back, bet if I cancel the cassette and return the chain they will attempt to say the £9 is non refundable. Won't be ordering again, next time I'll use the German shops that can actually deliver promptly.
I went thru this about 2 months ago. £100 of drivetrain stuff. All looked good, then delayed ,then delayed again. After reading dreadful reviews on trustpilot I asked for a refund and 3 requests and about 2 months later I got it. So many bad reports, my only thought is that they have no intention of ever fulfilling orders, keep your money as long as possible to either prop up the failing business or pocket the interest.
Exactly the same happened to me with this shower of shite. Ordered a road tyre, £48, on the 7th May. Several weeks of delays. Eventally I gave up and cancelled my order on May 30th, they promised a refund in 7-10 days. Still waiting.
Raised a dispute with my credit card company yesterday and expecting them to refund me and sort out the mess with Athleteshite. They're Dutch aren't they ? AthleteBV.
Anyway, lucky for me (I hope) that I paid on my credit card.
Avoid at all costs in the future.
My original order was for a cassette, never got it and still not had any reply from athleteshop, but my bank - HSBC, were very good, sorted out a chargeback straight away, money into my account within a day and then they deal with it with them, said they might need some paperwork but never got back to me about it so all must be ok. Found the same cassette, same price on ebay, ordered Monday with me Wednesday.
and still no refund. off to cc company's dispute resolution i go.

Well no cassette was dispatched so I've cancelled the order. The odd bit is customer service respond promptly. I'm left with a rather expensive chain that they have managed to ship though. Apparently the refund will take 10 days though based on the above I'm not hopeful!
Just reminded me my damper was supposed to turn up today...
