I know it is Bike Fest this weekend coupled with the repair / dispair / improvement works going on, but I have bought my bike into work, got 2 lads here who want to ride too. Anyone got any idea what we can do?

The Quarry's? (are they open again yet?)
50 Acre Wood?
Leigh Woods?

Thanks in advance chaps...!

Just avoid AC. They'll be taping off the course today I'd imagine.

50 acre is open, as is Leigh Woods (although you'll have to pick your way through the devastation at the top end caused by the "thinning" operations).

Went to have a look and so glad I did...........

Did low and top quarry about 5 times. Nice, swoopy if a little sterile singletrack. Faster to get up the low quarry and significantly faster down the top quarry. Some nice jumps, big berms, a few step downs (one where if you take right line give you 2 lovely fast 1/2 foot stepdowns. On the last run I managed to split the side of my rear tyre... so had to walk back with the bike to the golf club.... Boo hoo.

Bike fest should be fun. Track is very fast, and the rest of the course seems to have some more open areas for overtaking which may avoid 'some' of the bottlenecks from recent years.

Enjoy festers
