all of the ones we use are still going strong, 2-3 night rides a week all through the winter snows/cold/rainy poop that we've had no hassles at all 😀

yup mines been working fine,
been using it for commuting duties
even left it outside overnight by accident and the battery got soaked with condensation,
just let it dry near a radiator, no problems

if you have a faulty one read the website and lodge a ticket. they will do warranty. i sent 4 torches back ( i bought a bunch of 'em and some turned out to be dicky ), took me a while to realise that they don't just send you an email back - all comms are handled through their website. once i reported the fault, answered a couple of questions, they accepted they were faulty ( not on delivery, they all fell over after a while ). then they shipped replacements as soon as i uploaded a picture of my proof of shipping ( PO receipt ). cost me about a fiver i think to ship stuff back. the rest they absorbed.

don't just sit there grumbling because you bought cheaply - get it sorted!
4 or 5 sets of the bike light running on our night ride.

I'd guess they have sold more than the other light manufactures so you'd expect a larger number of problems, even if the average failure rate is low.

For what it's worth, I've had 2 P7 torches for a year and a bit and they're rock solid, a couple of Q5 torches for the same time which are fine, and a DX bike light for 3 months which is also fine.

Used in all weathers, snow / heavy rain, and no problems at all (I did wrap the bike lights battery in gaffer tape tho)...

For £50 I was only planning on mine working for a season; next winter there'll be better and brighter things around to replace it with. Unfortunately it's still going fine...

Well just to buck the trend (and keep Trout in a job) - my bastid is temremental. Changes mode all of a sudden like when I hit a bump. Also where the cables join has frayed/failed at both ends and had to be redone/soldered (spare cables are now available).

My 2 mode torch has gone from 4 leds to 3. Still works but just a bit dimmer.

The 5 torch mode driver failed and I had to modify it to 1 mode (off and full). Still - I aint complaining and I learnt early on not to rely on just 1 DX light at a time.

Two 5-mode torches here have been dropped, left on bike while strapped to car at 70mph in pouring rain etc.
Still going strong.
Two other mates using regularly with no issues.
I think the Bastid's are less reliable than the torches.

One of my P7 torches when a bit dicky but was easily fixed, and the other has been perfect. Used them quite a bit since I got them - no complaints at all from me given the price and performance.

No probs with mine (P7 torch), but for the last 4 months I've not been using it much as a bike light, more as a means of seeing under the car after I scrape the underside! No probs with it for biking duties (gets loaned to a mate who uses it when we are out)...he loves it but seems to think £40 for a torch, batteries and charger is too much when he can use mine for free!

at least 10 DX torches (probably more) i know all working fine for 2 years now.
2 bastid's have happily weathered all this years winter rides without issue.

I got 2 broken torches in one batch. I combined the broken bits into one and kept the other. I sent the broken one back, and they sent me 2 in return.

Result.
