discovered why my headset goes from loose over tight, I must have rebuilt it without the expander wedge in it. Could I fit any (that fits, obvs)? it's a 1 1/8 so are they much of a muchness?
seems a shame to have to buy a whole headset for the want of one part

They're not headset specific, but not all steerer walls are the same thickness. Extralite is the lightest and available separately, prob not the cheapest. I'd have thought a search on CRC would yield some results.
