Need my stem helicoiling some were close to Chester or northwales Any ideas

Can you post a pic of the stripped thread so we can see how much extra metal is around the thread. May not be possible if there is minimal wall thickness.

Virtually all motorcycle shops with workshops have helicoil facilities. Generally cheap too.

Any half decent engineering shop nearby should know whether it's possible and should do it for about £10-20 max. Assuming they have the coil sizes in stock it should take about 10 mins.
