As above really. May be heading to Glentress in a couple of weeks. As the family may well be coming along, I was wondering if there are things for 4 year olds to do there?

Depends how long you're going to ride for (assuming they don't ride?), if just an hour or so, have a big breakie yourself and ride over lunchtime, leave the family at the cafe for lunch.

If you're on an all day mission, prob best to get dropped off at GT and let the family go explore Peebles which is just a few miles down the road. Few shops, places to eat, nice river walks/playparks etc.

Also, excellent ice cream to be had at Innerleithen!

Small people may like the top Green route if you drive up to the Buzzards Nest carpark.

Lots of interesting shops and cafes in Peebles. There's a park by the river. Cocoa Black needs a visit. Always.

GT needs a kids play area like Mabie and Kirry.

So it's case of sending the kids off with the grandparents for a few hours then? Micromtbfixlette likes to ride her bike but does not feel it for off road quite yet.
