I have been offered a rather tasty deal on a bike with Sram Red wifli hrd groupset.

Is anyone using it other than a purely road groupset? It will be on a bike that gets used for several days at a time and will be left outside as i camp/bivvi.

My gf uses Di2 in juat such a scenario and its been fine. Does anyone have any observations?

thanks

Ian

A mate of mine has gone one better than that and has eTap on his gravel bike. He's given it a bit of a beating this year and it still works

He does, however get off and carry his bike through river crossings.

Yep. It's also fair to say he gets a bit nervous about rock strikes.

WiFli is what Sram call their bigger cassette/longer cage mech combo.

ETap is the wireless shifting.

Apart from the potential extra cost risk involved if you damage a rear mech (more likely off road due to rock/log interface etc) id happily use it on a gravel bike.
