How far have you dismatled it? I think there is stuff on sheldon brown.

I was looking for information myself yesterday and did find some basic stuff - in geman tho

I stripped mine down following a winter of mud as I was interested to see if any had made it inside, and out of curiosity to see how it worked. I used the hubstripping website as a guide. The only difficult bit was removing/refitting the large seal that unscrews, when I do it again I will get the special tool.

When that was off I removed the internal gears mechanism (they come out as a unit), degreased them, gave them an oil bath and re-assembled. It does seem to run a but smoother with oil in, but I did have some leak out. I also plan to service it at regular intervals whereas the standard grease is fit for life. I was encouraged to see the new 11 speed version will run in oil not grease.

In summary:
If you have not stripped it yet, do you need to? The sealing is very good, mine had no sign of contamination.

Get the special tool

I may have some photo's of it in bits if you are interested?

Its only that i took off the driveside nut which then removed the cassette joint pully.... Qustion I have is once everything is back in place and on the bike, should there be a little play in the cassette joint pully / bracket (the bit that the cable runs into)or should it be fixed soild/
cheers

when you put it together, there are some dots to line up (not the indexing dots) and then you turn and it clicks. can't recall if there's any movement after that tbh, but could check at home. If worried, pop into your LBS and ask them. Worst case (if you've bu**ered it up) you can buy a new plastic cap assembly thing

There is a small amount of play in mine - the strangely named cassette joint just slips on and is held on with the cassettte jointfixing ring which goes on with a half turn .

yep, it was the joint fixing ring i was tinkering with, i thought that i was fixed in place more solidly than perhaps it is designed for...all works well now though....
