Seem to get good reviews and I'm curious to try tubeless and they seem a lot cheaper than other options and they do a 30mm version. Currently using Vittoria Corsa non tubeless and that was going to be my next pair but moving from 28 to 30mm

Any thoughts on the Hutchinson's welcome, roads tend to be crap where I live

I have been using them for about a year. Tubeless in 25c size. Seem good for the money, not too tough to get on, inflate easily and are fairly puncture resistant. I have had one puncture that struggled to seal, but I wasn’t far from home so just rode the five miles home and didn’t need to put extra air in. Sorted it out once I got home. Grip and rolling resistance seem fine, can’t say I have noticed either being particularly good or bad. When these ones are worn out I will probably get the same again.

I tried them about 2 years ago. On the front I got over 4000 miles and performance was good, on the back I got about three rides on two different tyres, they both got 5/6mm punctures which I couldn’t seal with anchovies. I bought them from sigma sports and they gave me a healthy discount on continental 5000s which have been better in every way - the Hutchinsons do seem to get very mixed reviews

Used them for two years all year round on country back roads. Never had an issue. Very impressed with grip levels in cold damp conditions. Went on with no tyre levers and inflated with just a track pump.

I've used them for a while and they seem very good. At least as "nice" to ride as the GP4000's that they replaced if that's any guide.

No puncture issues - only one and that was on the filthy wet ride london a couple of years where people were puncturing all over the place anyway.

I'm using the 11storm version - not sure if you can buy any other types. 25mm performance version on the summer bike and 28mm all seasons on the winter.

Ditto. A huge improvement over Schwalbe Pro Ones in the cold and wet, and they seem to be wearing ok. If I've had any punctures, they've sealed too quickly for me to notice.

Had them for a while, never had a flat on them...they were a very dull tyre though and lacked the comfort of similar sized posher tyres...25mm btw.

Got them ridiulously cheap though so couldn't really complain.

I’ve been using them on the winter bike for the past 4-5 years and can’t really fault them. Not as fast or nice feeling as the S works turbo cottons on the best bike but much more durable and better value for money.

I use the Fusion 5 Galactiks (in all honesty because Hunt were doing a deal when I bought a tubeless wheel set). They've been great on the roads around here. Only time I have had an issue is ripping a sidewall on the Buttermere road. Any tubeless tyre would have have been scrap with that particular rock...

Been using 28s for a couple of years and a good chunk of miles.  Recently replaced the rear with another of the same following a hole in the tread but looking at both they’ve had a decent amount of small holes seal, my riding is SW London and Surrey areas so some rubbish road surfaces and plenty of glass and other detritus on the roads.  Went on and up easy with a track pump.  They ride nicely as far as I am concerned, but I’m not a top level roadie and not sure whether I’d notice any difference vs GPs which were my alternative choice but a good chunk more expensive.

As it happens my Corsa’s fell apart and I had some Fusion 5s 25mm in the spares box that came bundled with my Prime RR50 wheels. I’ve fitted them tubed and the seem pretty good on the rough Gloucestershire roads and don’t seem any slower than the 32mm GP5000 fitted to my other bike, just not as plush (obviously). I did pick up a rear pinch flat on a pot hole Sunday but the tyre was completely unmarked.

I use them, they are spot on. I bought them as they go up really well on my Mavic rims (in 28mm).

I had one that delaminated and punctured repeatedly over two rides; Merlin replaced.

I’ve been using the All Season ones over winter (a few grams heavier but with a bit more tread) and now the weather is looking up I still haven’t thought about changing back.

Well that’ll teach me! Picked up my first puncture with them this morning and it wouldn’t seal. Crappy part of cycle path next to dual carriageway slip road the collects all the debris. 5mm long slit just spewed sealant. Only a mile into ride from home so went back and swapped bikes. Need to pull tyre off and inspect damage. Not sure if debris still in there or if it was just too big for the Stans.

I think any tyre/sealant would have trouble sealing a 5mm slash

Ive been running Hutchinson fusion 5's for a couple of years now, never had any issues, any punctures i have had i only noticed after the ride when i was checking the tyres for debris and saw the tell tale signs of dried sealant

I did double puncture on them the other day, a very sharp small flint i managed to ride over with the back and front wheel, quite a bad puncture as i could hear and see the sealant coming out and i lost quite a bit of sealant as it was pooling on the road

I stopped and spun the wheels so the holes were at the bottom and they sealed up in seconds, i carried on with the ride and when i got home and checked the pressures i had only lost 20 psi per tyre
