A couple of years ago, an intrepid party of Singletrackworlrders set off from Ullapool to get to the East coast and back again in a day. Piemonster and I are going to recreate this venture on Saturday 9th August and I thought I'd throw it open to the forum in the event that anyone wants to join us.

The previous thread can be found here

There's a good description of the route here.

So, we're talking somewhere in the region of 70-75 miles, 20+ of this is on tarmac. Still swithering about which coast to start and finish on but I thought I'd give folk some notice in case they want to stick it in their diaries.

It'll be a fairly long but easily paced day as neither of us want to turn it into a race.
Expect an early start and late end (lights for contingency only though).
Usual rules apply - neither of us are guides so everyone is responsible for themselves. That includes spares/tubes/tools plus clothing and food.
Meeting time/locations will be forthcoming.

I might be up for this, won't know until closer to the time though if I can make it or not. ๐Ÿ™‚

It's been decided - an Ullapool start/finish. That means heading back to a West Coast sunset. It also leaves the option of a more relaxed/shorter C2C to the Kyle of Sutherland/Inveroykel which is the highest tidal point.

Looking for an 7am or 8am start on the Saturday I guess.
