I don't get up to any high speed shenanigans that require posh brakes so I'm quite happy with my old SLX 7100s, but I gather that your new XTs have the new low viscosity oil that's supposed to solve the wandering bite point issue, I'd be interested to hear if this is the case once you've run them a while.

My previous gen XTR 4-pots have been probably the most easy to live with  dependable brakes Ive ever owned, rule of thumb seems to be if they get bled properly once they stay rock solid.

 

Maybe the new low viscosity oil makes the new version less sensitive to incorrect bleeding and easier to get right so we'll hear less about wandering bite points etc on them.
