So the bottom brackets on our cannondale tandem have never been quite right and are now making a knocking noise. I'm not convinved the basic Truvativ GXP bottom brackets are that great, so was thinking of replacing them. AFAIK the only other manufacturer to make the right fit bottom brackets is Hope using some separate adaptors. Has anyone used these? Any good? Any ideas if they would be up to tandem usage?

they are useless.
Have a look at the Enduro guide :
you can remove the trashy Truvativ bearings and reuse the cups and the reducer/ bush/sleeve.
