[Closed] Anyone still do a decent standard diameter bar?

Looking to get a new bar, and was going to buy Easton after good experiences with their other components. However, all their offerings on Wiggle are oversized. Stem is decent and right for me, so don't really want to replace that.

Any recommendations for a decent, not too expensive (say <40 notes) low rise bar?

I think some companies that make stuff more for DJ, street riding etc seem to still make 25.4mm diameter bars but they're still pretty rare, it's either bmx 22.2 or mtb "oversize" mostly. I found it easier to just upgrade, you're narrowing your choices down loads with "old" sizes.

If you can find Funn Full On bars, they're great.

I've got a Funn Full-On bar which is 25.4mm diameter but 747mm width.

I made the swap about 18 months ago and the choice was VERY limited back then, so you might be best taking tom's advice and upgrading the bar and stem together now.

Whenever I look at stem choice now the 25.4mm offerings decrease each time I look.

Thanks Gents, looks like I'll just bite the bullet and upgrade to oversized.

Happy New Year!

I went back to 25.4 to get a bit more flex when running fully rigid.
Like you I found choice is very limited, & I picked up some lovely Carbon Eastons after putting an ad on here.

Nitto do standard sized bars, On one do some too albeit I think I think in only the flat variety.

Or look for some NOS bars on eBay, I have a set of carbon Answers that are pretty comfy and bought this way.

31.8 mm is standard size now. ๐Ÿ˜‰

34.9/35 mm is the new oversize. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I guess that means 25.4 is undersize? ๐Ÿ˜†

Or keep what you have for a couple of months and 25.4 will become the re-emerging standard for 2014. ๐Ÿ˜€
