Anyone running a Sprindex?

Looking at the Sprindex 290-320 DH coil for the Daughters DH bike.

Thought it might be easier to use this than have to buy multiple springs as she grows/gets heavier etc, also probably easier to dial the bike in than swapping springs for different types of tracks.

Anyone got one?

I have in the past, a 340-380lb offering. No complaints.

If you can get one cheap enough nothing to loose. What you will find is say a 300lb coil will differ manufacturer to manufacturer.

You might find if you had a 300 and 325 a preference for one over the other anyway, it's not a huge difference but appreciate it might be important at the lighter end of the rider spectrum

I've got one and it does what it says on the tin.ย  I set mine to the higher spring rate for mellow trails and slacken it off for uplifts/riding abroad.

I have one, 550-610lbs on a 2022 Stumpjumper Evo. Used it for 18 months so far.

In my experience, it's excellent for changing the midstroke and general dynamic ride height, it seems to have very very little effect on actual static sag. I use mine on an Ohlins ttx along with rebound HSC to quickly change the setup of the bike for different trails, for that it's really convenient.

E.G I get around 15mm sag at both extreme ends of the adjustment, 550lbs will be almost exactly the same as the 610lb setting.

You can or course still use the regular preload setting to stiffen it up.

I was Googling for Sprindex reviews and this thread popped up.

Anyone else have any experience of them? They've been out for years now and are completely unchanged I think. I haven't seen many of them out in the wild.

I'd like to run one on an Ohlins TTX with a high 500/low 600 spring so I can switch between plush DH mode and jumpy bikepark mode.

The main downside of course is that it's not yellow.

I have 2 and love them. I've also seen somewhere where they were measured for accuracy (sorry, cant find a link) that they are quite accurate. More accurate than many other springs. I also love the small amount of progression at the very end of the stroke. Much less than other progressive springs which can sometimes be a little too rampy. I love the linear feel of a coil and don't really want much progression but the small amount that Sprindex have is perfect!

They are also quite light, even with the adjuster. Lighter than Rockshox, Cane Creek and standard fox.

They sounds great, I'm not aware of any criticisms. I might get one for the Airdrop but I can wait. I don't have any bikeparky stuff planned for a while.

I'm also thinking about a shortened dual crown fork but that's another subject.

I've been using them for about 3 years with an Ohlins coil on my stumpjumper evo.

Don't buy one with a view to using it to change sag as your daughter grows/gets heavier.

I've found after using the 560-610 spring, and now the 490-550 spring, that the adjustment range really doesn't change your static sag very much, for example you'll vary only by a couple of percent from what the starting spring rate (560, 490 in my case) will give you.

They do however change the dynamic ride height, and will make it harder/easier to use travel, I generally stiffen mine up if I'm going somewhere with a lot of jumps (slowing rebound to compensate), or somewhere really flat where I want more weight on the front, or I want a faster rebound, similarly it's nice to soften it if you're going somewhere with a lot of steep trails.

They may not necessarily be good value for your use case, but if you can find one for a good price then they can be fun to play around with.

I was thinking of an Intend Infinity on the front of my Airdrop Edit but was advised against it and told that was what the slacker was for
