yes i ride with one on cold days. you can cool down easy with them too. zip back up and as you know, the heats there. really good when it drops below zero.

I don't ride with one, but if you want a jacket rather than a smock, you can get the Montane Prism direct from here http://www.montane.co.uk/shop/limited-edition-prism-jacket for a very reasonable £80 - and half of that goes to support Mountain Rescue in England and Wales.

I bought one as an emergency warm layer in the event of punctures & mechanicals.

I've started (today) wearing a Buffalo Special Six for winter commuting. It has a fantastic drop tail that sits over the back of the saddle, and goes from warm to cold and back pretty quickly.

Buffalo + 1

Works really well, even when it is wet and more importantly has lots of ventilation options.

I would definitely recommend you at least try one on/look at it before purchasing others.

I also have a Rab Generator Smock (Primaloft synthetic mallarkey) and although it is also warm and works when wet. It lacks ventilation and a drop tail.

i ahve a buffalo thats now 15 years old, i still get a little too hot in it, also i need a jacket at work sometimes and tbh after 15 years of white water kayaking it gets pongy fairly quickly. may look at the prism.
