Ben Donich.

You start much higher up than the other hills in the area if you park up at the FC cark park past Rest and Be Thankful.

It involves a lot of pushing and carrying on the way up, with one part where you really need two people to get the bikes down.

There are lots of little "scars" alongside the path which are only about a foot across, but many are over 10ft deep. Care is required.

It's pretty technical on the way back down.

Which one? The Loch Lomond one or the Loch Earn one? The Loch Earn one is meant to be good, the Loch Lomond one I've heard is nigh on unridable.

Did most of Ben Vorlich (Loch Earn one).Didn't do the very top bit as visibilty was zero and there were walkers about!
Ride, push up then ride all the way down, simple and relatively enjoyable.Prefer a good trail myself.

Ben Venue is a nice few hours outing. Start in Aberfoyle, over Duke's Pass, west through the forest then carry up to the saddle to the south west of Ben Venue summit. Descend to the SW then south down to the shore of Lock Ard via Ledard Burn, cruise back to Aberfoyle on the road. The descent is great fun, bit techy in places.
