My wife and I are riding a leisurely LEJOG in stages on our tandem, we just have Edinburgh to JoG to go... Hoping to do Edinburgh to Inverness in August. Trains are problematic with the bike, so looking to drop it in Edinburgh, drive to Inverness, train back, then start cycling. Don't fancy my chances locking the bike up outside Edinburgh station, so if anyone has any ideas for where I could securely store it for a few hours, max over one night (haven't finalised the schedule yet), please post up, we'd be very grateful ๐Ÿ™‚

This is our blog if anyone is remotely interested:

Would depend on dates but potentially yes. We are about 5 miles from the station but on a good bus route for getting back into town. We have a garage. However we may be away bits of August, especially towards the end. Other than that, happy to help out.

I'm in Colinton, not the centre but happy to help if you want it.

Can garage it.

Depending on dates and us being around obviously.

Can't help with that bit, but you might want to have a look at this before the last leg!

And yes, they can handle tandems too.

I can take it for you - out at Cramond, 5 miles out but good bus service. Or work on George Street, two minutes from the station, and the basement has secure bike storage - if it was during normal working hours.

Thanks all for some fantastic offers of help! I'll get the dates pinned down and then get back in touch.

@scotroutes ref the trip back from JoG, we may choose to go to Orkney for an explore then ferry to Aberdeen ๐Ÿ™‚
