Have recently swapped over to spd-sl cleats and have slight soreness in the side / posterior part of both knees. Using the same shimano road shoes and tried to get the cleats in the same positions when i installed the new cleats. There is a stack height difference in them and i think i need to move my saddle up.. but how much??
I found the same thing. They're not just higher, but I wasn't able to get them as far back as I had the SPD cleats. The combination of the two means the saddle has be about 1cm higher.
Thinking of switching back TBH ๐
much less float on sl so if the angle of your cleat isn't right you'll feel it more too, the old dangle the feet while sitting on a table is about the easiest way to see whether your feet should be straight, heel in or heel out on the bike
Sssimon, never heard that one, sounds a good tip, thanks.
Thanks.. took me long enough to setup my spds..
