A green 2015 Santa Cruz Bronson CC full suspension carbon mountain bike was found close to an address in Leyland on October 8.

Why do the police assume it's too expensive to have come from Lancashire?!
Hope the owner is found (and then cautioned for that mudguard).
I assumed they meant that due to the value it could have been stolen from another part of the UK and brought to Lancashire rather than only stolen locally.
I would think it had nothing to do with its value. I would say that it has not been reported locally as being stolen, therefore they assume it may be from out of the area.
