Doesn't have to work. Dead bearings or cracked flanges are fine.

Anyone?

Cheers.

You making a mount for attaching the bike to? 20mm drill bit and a block of wood/alloy?

I'm looking for something to stop the forks getting crushed in transit. I'm not convinced that just bolting the axle back in would offer enough strength in compression.

The suggestion on here for the same desire with a old fashioned QR was to drill 5mm holes thorough a series of short lengths of broom handle.

If noone has an old hub (why not ring Hope and ask if they have any post-warranty - they could mark it to show it was post warranty?) then something similar would work

Saw one in the spares box at work yesterday, not sure whether it's a good'un or not though, the boss will probably want good money if it is. Probably want a few quid if it's shot, just to cover carriage, will check when I get in later.

22mm plumbing tubing. Doubt you'll ever need it though.

Thanks for the help guys, particularly Coatesy. However, I got called out to a job today and it just so happened, it was a supplier of metal sheet/bar. Ask them and they had some 1" 12 swg cromed tubing they'd recently scrapped as there was a bend in it. I only needed 110mm. They were happy to help so it's problem solved (assuming it is actually works when I get home. Failing that, I might come back to you Coatesy)
