Reading a book at the moment, about a lady running around the world with a similar thing.

Love that bed thing. Also love the Rosie Swale Pope book. She is truly mental (in a nice way)

Rosie Swale- what a legend. Called into a friend's shop for repairs recently.

I was contemplating designing and building a trailer to transport another bike; would need to have fixing points like roof racks for the dropouts, and wheel brackets. Problems would be steering and making allowance for bumps, potholes, kerbs etc.

Really like that idea though. Excellent camping/touring solution.

Would be a complete bastard on steep/long hills though, woon't it? ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

depends on what you build it out of and what is in contact with the road?

Well that would just be silly.

And it would be impossibly heavy to tow. Speshly if guests were still sleeping in it.

stupid idea, unless you made it from cf, in which case it might be light enough. and would then get blown around in the wind.

Fred why not just do something like bolt the fork onto the rack of the towing bike a la kids' trailer bike?

what happens when it falls over and scratches your car? Can someone design a gadget to solve this conundrum?

Looks like a coffin!

Anyone would think you're towing a vampire to his summer castle

Door is the size of a cat flap.
A couple of years ago there was a company promoting a similar thing at the earls court bike show.
A trailer with a fold out tent. Just like the roof top tents for landrovers you see in Africa (and sloppy emulating in Cornwall).
A tent weighs 2000g and is bigger. So what's the point? Solves a problem that does not exist.
