Bike related really, as the title says, we are Trans-Alping again and could do with about 5 or 6 phrases translating into Italian (such as ‘is there a bike shop in town’) for us to point at when dealing with the natives. If anyone can help email me and I’ll send you the sheet,
Ta very much,
Chris

Chris
google translate ?
"Anybody on here Italian or speak perfect Italian? - and can be trusted ??"
😀
"my nipples are exploding with delight"
You'd do well to find someone from the region you are riding in. Having lived in Italy for a couple of years I can verify that the Italian language is more regionally varied than our own. Trying to Learn Italian in Naples was like trying to learn English in Glasgow.
hi Chris,
in Süd Tirol most will speak a version of german.
i'm all set now, thanks. leave on 24th.
macht's gut.

Thanks Alpin, but for a broad Yorkshireman who is terrible with languages a pointing-list is probably the best I can manage!
Are you getting all excited about your trip yet? Did you get your route finalised? I presume the 2nd CD arrived!!
